From the Barber Shop and Shoe Shine Memories licensed collection, this Herpicide Vintage Metal Sign measures 18 inches by 12 inches and weighs in at 2 lb(s). The word HERPICIDE according to my friend Don Fadely is from the latin words “Herpes” (meaning to creep) & “Cide” meaning death! Mr. Dupont M. Newbrow called his secret concoction NEWBROS HERPICIDE which reputedly Killed the Dandruff Germ. Them pesky little critters are still running amuck for sure. This sign dates about 1904 with the humorous figures being part of the original trademark. Metal sign looks exactly like original. This Vintage Metal Sign is hand made in the USA using heavy gauge American steel.
